Welp, I am doing pretty good, changes will be coming this sunday, but something big is going to be happening!!!! THIS THURSDAY ELDER D TODD CHRISTOFFERSON IS COMING TO THE MISSION!!! OUR MISSION!! It is going to be legit and I am super pumped! It will be pretty sweet! But some bad news about Enrique. He hasn't changed and hasn't left it behind, so we will be dropping him :( pretty suckish. But it will all turn out right. and yeah. Nothing much to report, but I will be praying for Crayton so he can withstand you crazy people.

But all my studies are going great. Everytime that I think I have learned everything about the gospel, something comes up and I realize how little I know. But that is a good thing. Some personal study time has showed me what I need to look for in a wife. You know when Nephi and his brothers are taking Ishmael and all his family to Lehi and they rebel? The one daughter of Ishmael that defends him, using the references at the bottom of the page, is the daughter of Ishmael that he marries!!!!  So something that is important that while I need to defend my wife and protect her with everything I got, she will have to be willing to do the same. That Is true love, what God wants for us. and what everyone of us deserves. Just a freak ton of stuff that is legit like that is what I am learning. So, READ AND STUDY THE SCRIPTURES! THey are the reason this church still exists! so OBVIOUSLY they are pretty important! I am now learning that.

Something legit that happend this week is that I totally caused a car accident with my good looks, NO JOKE!! We were crossing a street and as you know, seeing a blond American is pretty rare here, so everyone stares at me here. As we were passing a car came up to the light and the girl inside just stared at me. She kept looking at me as she moved forward and then crashed with a car ahead of her because she was distracted and smashed the front of her car, all while she was locked on me! I mean, i knew I was good looking guy but come on! ;) hahahahahahaha that was a definite highlight of my mission!!! but nothing else, I love you guys and everything is going good!

Love,
Elder Chadwick Eaton

Well, as the song goes "IT IS GETTIN SO HOT! I WANNA stay inside my house because it has AC." something like that. Only here AC doesnt exist :P hahaha But everything is going pretty good here, nothing new. Goreti, the younger sister we have been teaching is having some troubles with assisting the church. I kind of understand because the first Sunday that she went was fast sunday with the testimonies and also with a presentation the 3rd hour which was really just the bishopric getting on the case of the members because they werent paying their tithing. She was kind of weirded out.

Something you guys should know about testimony meeting in Mexico is that is a bit weird. Almost all the members are converts and since we are in Mexico, almost all of them are originally catholic, but SUPER catholic. I am not saying that they dont have a testimony, just that one lady got up and start screaming a prayer thanking God for having let her join the true church and saving her soul from the clutches of the devil. This lasted 10 minutes. They all mean well, just that it is very confusing to someone who has never gone before.

Enrique, who was having problems with the cigarette, left it! FINALLY!! WE have 3 official baptisms planned for september! The only problem is that I might not be here to see it through. It would be disappointing but alright. At least they get what God wants for them. Nothing more to report, about the package, i really would just like some handwritten letters telling me how I am going to complete a year. Also the lyrics to "Living on a prayer" WWWWOOOOAAAHHH WE'RE HALFWAY THERE WWWWWWWOOOOAAAAAHHHH LIVIN' ON A PRAYER. It makes a lot more sense to me now that I am on the mission. Also, if you can, 3 musketeers, because that doesnt exist here!! Love you guys and miss you a ton!!

Holo Familia!!!
Well, I am doing alright, I am actually sick right now with a case of Montezuma´s revenge if you know what I mean. Also a headache and I feel a bit nauseous but I got some mexican medicine, so that should be kicking in any moment. About transfers, Elder Mejia and I are staying together!!! El salvadoreño y el americano!! We were pretty happy about that, because we have a couple baptisms coming up in August so I get to see them through. Also, Elder Alonso, my trainer, is in my zone! So I am pretty excited about that. I have talked a little bit with Elder May but not much.

We are still teaching that family but it is a bit difficult to continue with them. On the bright side we have another investigator named Enrique that we just got. He is super funny and is accepting everything pretty easily. He has a problem with smoking but is trying hard to leave that behind. He is an older guy, about 65 years old, but when we taught him the law of chastity he kind of freaked out! He doesnt have a girlfriend or wife but when we asked him if he would follow the commandment, he only said "well, I will try but no promises". He is 65 years old. What the heck. Anyways, Hope everything is going good there! Love you guys!!

Well, the week started off terribly. We were playing soccer and I jacked up my ankle. A lot. So I was limping the first couple of days this week. We had a meeting with the president and when it was my turn I started walking towards him. He gave me a weird look and asked what was the problem. I just said I hurt it during soccer and shrugged it off. But when I finally got a good look with it HOLY COW! It looked like someone took a hammer to it! Dont worry, now it is almost 100% good. Doesnt even hurt. but DANG! (see photo below)

Our investigators are doing ok, but Enrique started smoking again and that legit sister, Goreti, that we found smokes too!! Everyone smokes!!! It is a bit frustrating with that. But with Goreti we haven't taught really deeply the word of wisdom, so we are going to go into more detail with that. With Enrique we are starting to think about leaving him because there are some things in his life that he doesn't want to change. It is sad but it might be necessary.

Also, something happened yesterday. I did get into a fight. Now, obviously it wasnt physical fight, more of a verbal debate (which I won). BUT that is very bad to do as a missionary! A guy came up to us and started to rail on us hardcore about how we were sinners and how us being baptized doesn't save us, by grace alone we will be saved, about how baptism does jack squat and that the bible has everything we need. I am going to be honest, I wasn't having the best day because we found out that some really jerky investigators have been lying to us about the living situation for 2 years to the members and to us. Also one of them is a member and lied to our face about not being baptized.
So keeping all this in mind, I started to fight back, quoted from Matthew the scripture about how "he who is not born of water and of the spirit cannot enter into the kingdom of God" and forced him to say baptism was necessary for salvation. Then I quoted the last verse in John that says all the things Jesus did and said cannot be written here in the book and gave some examples of missing scriptures in the bible. At this point he was seething mad and told us that since we havent accepted Jesus in our hearts we are going to hell. I said "I'll see you there" and walked away. That was one of my angriest moments in the mission. That is the latest story I feel bad about that but I was done.
So that is one thing of many that I have to get better at. But I feel pretty confident in my ability to use the scriptures now, especially from the bible because I have been reading in the old testament and have learned a ton. I just finished Job and am going strong! I am kind of dreading getting to Isaiah, but I will learn a ton. So yeah! Nothing more to report, Love you guys and miss you tons!!

Well, it feels like these 10 months have gone by super fast!! And at the end of this transfer I will have completed 11 months! It is pretty crazy! But what is more crazy is how much things have changed at home! New house, dad looking for a new job, Cole starting high school, Annie with her boy, it is loco! But I still havent gotten my package from you, I got one from Grandma McClellan, so that is pretty sweet! I will be starting divisions here tomorrow with Elder Brown, the one who made the music video of mexico. Divisions here last about 3 days, so it will be pretty fun!

Nothing new in our area, we just got a new investigator named Goreti and she is awesome. She came to church for the first time this sunday and said it was the weirdest thing ever. She has only visited the catholic church with all the pictures and statues in the sacrament hall, so she was weirded out that we were so different. But she has the biggest desire to change in the whole world. She is struggling as a single mom, a daughter at the age of 5, and she is only 21 years old. She cried when i taught her about the parable of the prodigal son when I described how the father runs to his son and accepts him with love. She started crying and said "If only all fathers were like that".  So her life is pretty tough, to say in the least. But she is ready to change! And I cant wait to help her! Also, Enrique, stopped smoking completely!!!!!! It was awesome! After 50 years of smoking, he stopped it just like that! Power of fasting!! WHAT?!

Well, today we played soccer and i sprained my ankle I am pretty sure. I landed on it super hard, but on the side. It swelled up pretty big and It hurts to walk on it. So After this i will be icing it down in the house because it hurts to walk. Brings back memories of volleyball! Every practice of my life. Bu

t that is all that is going on now! Nothing else to report, i miss you and love you guys!!!

1)WE played soccer with a ton of little kids. They all thought that I was william Yarbro, a goalie from the soccer team here in Leon. Look it up, we actually look pretty alike.
2)Meet the new zone!
3)During language study, Elder Mejia decided to study Lehi's dream more fully
